Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dalam perencanaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Nias. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari Dekan, dua Wakil Dekan, tiga dosen, satu tenaga kependidikan, dan dua mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap pengembangan SDM, terutama dalam peningkatan kompetensi tenaga pengajar, inovasi kurikulum, serta peningkatan motivasi kerja. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengungkap beberapa tantangan, seperti kurangnya fleksibilitas kebijakan, komunikasi yang belum optimal, dan resistensi terhadap perubahan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berperan penting dalam membangun lingkungan akademik yang dinamis, namun diperlukan strategi yang lebih komprehensif dalam implementasinya.
